COVID 19 Updates and Branch Changes

June 2, 2020

An update from Andy Doak, CEO of The Police Credit Union

As I prepare to address our membership, I would like to begin by thanking all the front-line workers and the entire policing community as we are forever grateful for your tireless giving during these challenging times ensuring our safety, health and well being.

I would like to thank our members for your continued loyalty in addition to thanking our entire staff for their passion, professionalism, hard work and dedication in assisting our members and ensuring our Credit Union remains open during these challenging times.

Easing of restrictions as of June 1, 2020

With the Provincial Government easing restrictions on access for business, the Credit Union has opened its doors and resumed full cash services in branches for members. Offices and front counters have been equipped with plexiglass barriers. Branch signage protocols are in place and are aimed at ensuring social distancing guidelines are followed within our smaller branch footprints. In addition, for those that might still feel uncomfortable with in person visits, Personal Protective Equipment (masks and gloves) can be made available.

Our members and staff have provided positive feedback on the use of appointments when discussing more detailed financial needs. All members are encouraged to follow this practice, this way we can limit overcrowding in branches and make the most efficient use of everyone’s time.

Access to your money

Our branches and call centre remain fully operational (except for the College Branch located inside Toronto Police Headquarters which has been closed temporarily). Temporary reduced operational hours remain in effect.
